🧭 Governance Path

Governance Path

Request → Workgroup → Domain Committee → OSC (as needed)

This approach ensures consistent prioritization, cross-functional alignment, and transparent decision-making across the organization.

⚙️ Governance Structure

The Governance Framework is designed to support enterprise decision-making while ensuring that operational, clinical, and technical stakeholders are engaged at the appropriate level.

The governance structure consists of four primary levels:

🤝 Level 1 — Workgroups

  1. Workgroups

a. Workgroups serve as the primary intake and collaboration forum for technology, workflow, process improvement, and enhancement requests.

b. Workgroups include operational leaders, clinicians, informaticists, and subject matter experts who evaluate requests, discuss impacts, and develop recommendations.

🏢 Level 3 — Operational System Committee (OSC)

  1. Operational System Committee (OSC)

a. The OSC consists of Domain Committee leadership and supporting stakeholders.

b. The committee reviews cross-domain priorities, coordinates enterprise initiatives, and escalates significant decisions requiring additional governance review.

📥 Request Intake and Escalation

Request Intake and Escalation

·       All requests should begin within the appropriate Workgroup. Workgroups evaluate requests, gather stakeholder feedback, and develop recommendations before escalation to Domain Committees.

·       Domain Committees review, prioritize, and govern requests within their area, escalating cross-functional or strategic items through the OSC and Steering Committees when necessary.

Have a workflow concern or Refuel-related request?
Start with the appropriate Workgroup. Your governance representatives can help determine the appropriate review and escalation pathway.
